Pre Rup Temple is one of the most impressive and underrated temples in the Angkor Archaeological Park. Built in the 10th century by King Rajendravarman II, this stunning Hindu temple is a masterpiece of Khmer architecture and offers a quieter, more peaceful experience compared to the crowded Angkor Wat.

What I Loved:

  • Less Crowded – Unlike the more famous temples, Pre Rup offers a serene atmosphere, perfect for photography and quiet exploration.
  • Great Photo Opportunities – The combination of towering prasats (towers), ancient stonework, and surrounding jungle makes it a photographer’s dream.

Tips for Visitors:

Visit in the late afternoon for cooler temperatures and the best lighting.

Wear comfortable shoes—the steps can be steep and uneven.

Bring water and sun protection, as shade is limited.
